Family Sponsorship

Bring your family closer with a clear plan.

Who we support

Support tailored to each family member.

Family sponsorship follows a common purpose, but the documentation and practical sequence can differ for each person being sponsored.

Spouse

Residency support with relationship, income, housing and status documents coordinated from the outset.

Children

Guidance shaped around age, dependency, current location and the sponsor's UAE status.

Parents

A closer review of sponsorship conditions, dependency documentation, insurance and household circumstances.

Final decisions remain with the relevant UAE authority. Current requirements and interpretations can change.

Ember Consultancy will tailor the list after understanding the sponsor, dependent and current UAE status.

Marriage, birth or dependency records in the form required for use in the UAE.

Sponsor records

Case factors

Things to consider.

  • A dependent is already inside the UAE on another status
  • Relationship documents need attestation or correction
  • Age, dependency or custody circumstances require additional documentation

Before we begin

What to prepare.

  • Who you want to sponsor and where they are now
  • Your current UAE residency and employment status
  • Any deadlines, existing visas or document concerns

Questions

Before you begin.

Can one review cover my whole family?

Yes. Ember Consultancy can review the family together while identifying the relationship documents, status position and sequence required for each dependent. The plan stays joined up, but each person’s documents and authority steps are still checked individually.

Do documents need to be attested?

Many foreign-issued marriage and birth records need an approved attestation or legalisation sequence before they can be used in the UAE. The right sequence depends on the issuing country, document type and receiving authority.

Can Ember Consultancy help if my family is already in the UAE?

Yes. Their current visa or entry status, expiry dates and the sponsor’s position will form part of the first review. Ember Consultancy will explain how those facts affect the available process and timing.

Can parents be handled in the same way as a spouse or child?

Not always. Parent sponsorship can involve different dependency, housing, income and insurance considerations. Ember Consultancy will review the household circumstances and current authority requirements before confirming a document plan.

What if a child has a different surname or custody arrangement?

The relationship and consent documentation may need a closer review. Share the circumstances at the beginning so Ember Consultancy can identify any custody, name, translation or authentication document that may be relevant.

When should we start preparing?

Start before a current visa expires or a planned move becomes time-critical. An early review gives enough time to correct civil records, complete attestations and coordinate status changes without unnecessary pressure.
